Each week, our Spelling program will pre-teach or review key vocabulary from our Language, Math, Science or Social Studies units.
At our school, we have many English Language Learners, and research shows that the use of their First Language (L1) can help students acquire English and also help them learn their concepts. With so many different languages being spoken in our homes, I would appreciate any help you can provide to translate some of our subject specific words. Google Translate is very useful, but we run into difficulties when words have various meanings (e.g., the term "difference" in the context of math is not the same as its everyday use).

My goal is to collect these translations throughout the year, to be used for future classes and to share with our ESL classes as well.
